  • Fulfilled general reference requests for patrons in person, over the phone and via email
  • Developed a processing plan for the Thomas J. Stepwith Collection, a personal collection consisting of Cleveland photographs, slides, creative works, travel materials, correspondence and personal papers
  • Researched Cleveland buildings, architecture and history to ensure accurate representation of the photographs in the collection’s finding aid
  • Created a finding aid on the collection’s photographs using DACS with the OhioLINK EAD Finding Aid Creation Tool for OhioLINK’s Finding Aid Repository
  • Scanned and uploaded several of the photographs to a Flickr collection, adding date and location data to the photos as well as tags to improve SEO
  • Composed a blog entry about the collection for the Special Collection Department’s blog

Western Reserve Historical Society

Library volunteer

  • Took inventory of the library’s newspaper collection —which spanned 50 states and dated back to the 18th century — noting missing editions or those with notable content
  • Assisted with cataloging unique items for the genealogy collection using the Library of Congress Classification system and Sirsi
